About Us
Mary
Mary was born in Kerala, South India, and grew up in Doha with her brothers, Louis and John.
After finishing school in Qatar, she moved to Dubai for university. Once she graduated, she returned to Doha to start her career in chartered accountancy, inspired by her father’s path.
In 2019, Mary moved to Manchester for a Master’s at the University of Manchester. After graduating, she settled in London, where she now works in financial services as a sustainability auditor.
Sam
Sam grew up in Northamptonshire with his younger brothers, Ollie and Jack. He studied Physics at the University of Birmingham and got his masters.
He briefly worked as a maths teacher in the year following university, before moving to London in 2017 to start his career in tech consulting.
Our Story
A little matchmaking from friends, Julie and Abu, set things in motion. Their first date was on the steps of the Royal Naval College in Greenwich - a setting that turned out to be a perfect backdrop for a beginning.
Over the next few weeks, they shared more dates, more conversation, more laughter, and quickly realised they’d found their life partner in each other. It wasn’t long before they made it official… and the rest is history.
